New Zealand Government Locator Service (NZGLS)

Archives New Zealand is the Custodian of the NZGLS Standard, one of the first government standards to be delivered through the e-government programme. As Custodian of the New Zealand Government Locator Service (NZGLS) standard (external link), Archives New Zealand will administer use of the standard to describe government services and information so that they can be easily found using appropriate search tools and techniques, especially via the Internet. We will also support the standard's enhancement over time, and ensure it stays aligned with and contributes to the development of related international standards, such as Dublin Core and the Australian Government Locator Service (AGLS).
